Biography

Sewage Cocktail was born in 2008 when I was also doing my one-man goregrind band Vomitous Discharge. I wanted to play noisy drum-computer goregrind with over-human speed here and there, inspired by gorenoise acts like Biocyst and Urine Festival, and humorous titles with mostly waste, sewage, faeces and urine involved.

I had already programmed a fitting drum track several years ago, just for fun, and used it for this new, still unnamed project and started from there. My friend from Musikantenstadl Massaker later suggested the name Sewage Cocktail and I loved it. I did a total of 10 songs and an experimental guitar-sounds and vocals track (which, in hindsight, could be seen as the first signs of my later harsh noise activities with my project Ataraxy that started in mid 2009) from August til December ‘08 and released these tracks on the “Delicious Appetizer” tape (Vomit Bucket Productions, VBP 008, ltd. 45) in the same month. I obviously enjoyed the result, otherwise I wouldn’t have released it, but working with programmed drums turned out not to be my kind of thing really.

Someday in early 2009 plans were made for a split tape with several goregrind acts though and I started working on drum-tracks for new stuff, which I programmed every now and again over the year. But always bored and annoyed by it quickly, I decided not to force myself to do more tracks and stayed with just 6 actual new songs and an exaggerated monotonous high-speed time-filler (I have to admit that). I added the other instruments and vocals in December ‘09 and the material was released in February 2010 on the “Total Carnage” 4-way split tape with Mutilatorio, Streptococcus Pyogenes and Decomposed Aesthetic (Vomit Bucket Productions, VBP 017, ltd. 100) and I decided to stop the project on the day this tape was released.

I received several nice comments about it in the past years, also from the owner of Furnace Of Hate Records, and he offered me to re-release all my Sewage Cocktail material on CD-R. I liked the idea and decided to “reunite” the project for one day to record a new track, exclusive to this discography release, which happened on December 29th 2012.

So that's it, the entire history of Sewage Cocktail!
Enjoy, but don't expect anything new in the future for sure.
